I've always been a fan of the Twi-lek ladies of Star Wars. Always sexy with fun skin tones and little head danglies to decorate.

I think you've got a great start here. I love the hints of tattoos and head wraps on them. I would almost say you could go even more overboard with jewelry and such if they're meant to be dancers in Jabba's palace, which seems the fate of most Twi'lek gals, sadly.

Two of the biggest issues I can see on this have been mentioned earlier: Distracting anatomy issues and a muddy sort of blending. While the red twi'lek gal seems to be near perfect and had most of the attention put into her, the blue gal is hiding in the shadow feeling a little dejected.

When it comes to the distracting anatomy issues, the blue gal still needs some fixing. You've improved the leg, but it's still rather skinny. Don't be afraid to chunk it up some and give her some curves Also, her right breast (the uppermost one), needs some gravity to it. It's awful perky for someone lying down and that's as easy a tweak as moving the nipple downward a hair.

I did a quick redline to help you figure out what I'm talking about: [link]

I think what's also giving her a thin look compared to her luscious crimson counterpart is the fact that the contours of her form are being devoured by the very dark shadows on her, while her friend basks in reflected light that really sets her form off. While also adding volume to Ms. Blue, reflected light would help to smooth out the muddy look of the coloring.

Another reason why you're getting a muddy look is that there's a subtle sort of texture in skin that's missing, particularly from Ms. Blue. Try texturing some of the highlights you used, especially in her leg which looks a little too ultra smooth. The shadow across her stomach also looks particularly muddy and needs to be accented with just a hint of the texture of her skin and body beneath it. If you look at the red gal in comparison, she has much more attention to subtle texture in her skin, particularly in her chest and facial area.

I did a quick little paintover with reflected light so you can see the effect I'm talking about. I chose to use blue since it's hinted at in the background behind them: [link]

See how they pop right out? I know they're supposed to be in a dank desert palace sort of place, but there was always an excuse to create some subtle lighting to make it a party atmosphere.

Speaking of atmosphere, unless this is a sketch, which I assume you're not meaning it to be in the future, I would try to firm up some of the palace atmosphere I spy in the background, such as the open window behind them and the hint at dias and decorated moulding I see there in the right side of the bg. If you want to leave it subtle so as not to distract from our ladies, than firm up just a few key details, such as the moulding and the window slats.

I hope to see this gussied up and looking fab on my devwatch very soon Keep going with it. You're doing awesome!
