It caught my eye immediately, the first thing when I went looking for an artist for my own system. Very striking! Could you expound on your choices, what you feel about this picture that's especially cuppish, so to speak?
I think that the picture is incredible. You did an amazing job in creating a character that looks like something mythological, or at the very least from a world with completely different feel than our own. I like the way that his armor is shaded and the textures that are on the plates of his back.
I think that the real thing that makes it for me, though, is the light that you put in the sky to the top right. It gives the picture a very different feel. If you had made the sky dark, it would have just been bogged down with those kinds of tones and they wouldn't have seemed all that special or held that much impact. By putting the open sky and the sunshine into the picture, you successfully created a big note of contrast that lets the viewer appreciate the darkness of the subject himself.
For a work of art, I think this is fantastic. The details are great, and the tarot cards are a great source of inspiration. Though, for a tarot card, it sort of bothers me. To me, the knight of cups is a joyful, cheering celebrator, Whilst this is more of an enraged warlord. Still, a fantastic job, I salute you for your fantastic efforts, and never stop what you're doing, because what ytou're doing is amazing.
What inspired you to draw the Knight of Cups particularly this way? The cards are incredibly beautiful and well-made, but is there any connection to their meanings or you simply used your imagination? Awesome work anyway! ^^
the original idea was to make the tarots with high-fantasy looks in the process was decided that they will keep some connection with dark fantasy world that me and few friends are creating/wrighting
