The texture that you gave the hair is incredible, and the shading is absolutely superb! On top of that, you have done a very good job of keeping the picture anatomically correct, which I've noticed a lot of people to tend to screw up, because they get so distracted by lady parts!
Ok, so on to the critiquing: First, it's just a tad bit distracting that the ends of her limbs seem to be dissapearing!! I would have loved to see where the right arm was going, if it was going to be in cuffs or chains, or maybe just a stump! The legs, however, are really fine the way they are. It creates a nice line for the eyes to follow.
Second, although you did a lovely job with it, the neck seems like it's a teensy-tiney bit too long. I know some girls have long necks(I know, because I do! ), but the angle and the way you showed the muscle/tendons etc. would usually indicate a slightly shorter neck. Oh well. Once again, it's not that bad, and it's not that distracting. Pointers for future work I guess!
Third, the shading you did is absolutely awe-inspiring! My only issue is that the left breast and the face almost look like they are just, for a lack of a better word, flat, or 2D. There could have been a tiney bit more shading, just to give emphasis on shape. I know the light was coming in on that angle, so it would take away from shadow, but there are tiny little ways of adding the emphasizing shadow!
Well, that's about it... I've got to say, absolutely incredible work! I just can't get over how well you shaded and did the hair!!
The style of all of this is gorgeous and appreciated by all. I would have liked to see the right arm go somewhere rather than just disappear but its not all that horrible of a distraction. The extra add-ons with the texture couldn't be better. For some reason I do feel that the face seems more "flat" than the rest though it does look impressive it just doesn't seem shaded in the same way. Okay now colors. The colors are just simple and very stunning good work! The left hand seems a little awkward and I can't really put my finger on why but i think it might just be the angle. Once again not a big distraction. Finally the stylized figure is amazing to look at. All n' all I love this piece!
I know I am very harsh at critiques and may come off as irritating but I only say it how I'd like to be told. Truthfully. So PLEASE do me a favor and critique me harshly as well.
Works like these inspire me to do Digital painting more I mostly do wallpapers and other digital work, but Digital painting has recently come into my attention and thanks to great artists like you here
