I really like this image - the colours are fantastic and dramatic. The only thing which is not fitting for me is that the figure is a little off balance, and a little stiff. Her body doesn't bend at the waist as it would do (unless of course she is meant to be completely stiff) - but that is the only thing jarring the image for me - the lack of fluidity in the figure.

Its hard keeping the fluidness in a body when you've been working on it for ages - I tend to lose that on mine too in my fantasy stuff - its SO hard isn't it?! Keeping it loose when you've painted and painted for hours. Is it digital? it looks painted - nice effect by the way.

Yeah they had some free brushes with imagineFX magazine the other day which imitated oil over canvas - kind of a dry look brush to use, but quite handy if you want that feel.
I'm dying to get into using painter more, but my computer just won't handle the big complicated brushes on there to make it worth my while. I'll just have to wait a couple of years till i can afford a Mac upgrade!
